7/5 Weightloss Wednesday: Starting My Kettlebells Again!

7/5 Weightloss Wednesday: Starting My Kettlebells Again!

It’s Weightloss Wednesday! As of this morning I’m at 202.8 which means I have lost 197.2 lbs so far.  It also means that I am at the exact same weight I was at last week.  A little disappointing but I feel good so I’ll take it.

I’ve talked a bit about not doing the kettlebell exercising anymore because I pulled a muscle a few months ago and then not starting back up again when the muscle healed.  I think somewhere in the back of my head I was worried about reinjuring myself so I had trouble finding the motivation necessary to start back up.  I decided to totally restart the program and go again from the beginning while spending at least 10-15 minutes before I ever pick up the kettlebell doing some stretching.  I think this will be what I need to do to get back in the swing (Get it? Kettlebell swings? Anyone?) of things and get to where I want to be.

Nothing much more to report.  My food is where it needs to be with the exception of an order of onion rings I ate a few days ago.  Not homemade and low carb but a crappy order from a burger joint.  I don’t even like how I feel after I eat them but it seems weird to eat a bunless burger and not have something on the side.

That’s it for me this week.  How are things going for you?  Let me know in the comments!

6/28 Weightloss Wednesday: So Close…Still

6/28 Weightloss Wednesday: So Close…Still

It’s Weightloss Wednesday!   As of this morning I’m at 202.8 lbs which means I have lost 197.2 lbs.  All good news, right?  Well, I have been stuck within 3 lbs of my goal of 200 for about a month now and it is INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING!!

I know that plateaus happen and all I need to do is stay the course and it will eventually happen but good grief it’s taking forever.  All I want to do is get below that line and I will breathe a huge sigh of relief having met a goal I have been striving towards for over 3 years.  I just keep telling myself it will happen and I need to calm down about it.  If you had told me 3 years ago I would be 3 lbs away from 200 and upset about it, I would have pointed out how stupid that was.  Now I’m here and freaking out a bit.

As for exercise, this has been a bit of an issue.  Ever since I pulled a muscle doing the kettlebell exercises, I’ve been a little scared to get back in the saddle on those.  I have had trouble finding the time to devote to them with the 28 day challenge stuff as well as my night job and the other stuff in my life.  Finding 30-45 minutes where I can exercise has been difficult.  Obviously if it was a priority, I would find the time.  It just isn’t for me right now.  I really need to get back on the ball!

As for everything else, inventory is finally done so hopefully I’ll have a little more time to devote to this site and the work we are doing here.  I am so invested in helping as many people as I can lose weight with the ketogenic diet so I want to continue posting helpful articles and these Weightloss Wednesday progress videos.  Hopefully as work eases up, I’ll have the necessary time to do what I want here.

In other news, the 28 Day Challenge is about to restart on the first!  That means if you go to MySugarFreeJourney.com/28Day and sign up, you will start getting the weekly ketogenic meal plans as well as acess to our fantastic community of people just like you who want to lose weight with the ketogenic diet and my nightly coaching videos.  I hope to see you there!

6/14 Weightloss Wednesday: Kettlebells Are Back in Play!

6/14 Weightloss Wednesday: Kettlebells Are Back in Play!

It’s Weightloss Wednesday!  As of this morning I’m at 205.4 lbs which means I’ve lost 194.6 lbs so far.  Not bad but it also means I’ve gotten into a bit of a plateau here as I’ve been right about here for a couple weeks now.  Not a bad place to be except I’m about 5 lbs away from where I want to be.  I just keep reminding myself how long I sat at 250 lbs without moving to remind myself that it will happen and has always happened before.  I just need to keep doing what I’m doing.

The exercise part of the equation is back.  I took 3 weeks off to let a strained back muscle heal but yesterday I got back to swinging the kettlebell again.  I backed up the videos I was doing to an earlier week thinking I would ease into the exercise but it wasn’t enough.  I spent all day walking like Frankenstein because of those sore leg and back muscles.  I have to say though that it felt awesome to start moving my body again.

Other than that, nothing much going on.  My diet has been pretty good and the fasting at work is great.  It still blows my away how long I can comfortably go without eating although the night I did the kettlebell exercises I had to eat a bit of cheese to tide me over.

How are you doing this week?  Let me know in the comments!
