9/20 Weightloss Wednesday: I’m Back!

9/20 Weightloss Wednesday: I’m Back!

I stopped doing these Weightloss Wednesday’s after I met my goal of being under 200 lbs because I didn’t think anyone would want to hear about this anymore now that I’ve met my goal.  Turns out I was wrong!  Opps!  Since I expect my continuing weight loss to be rather slow, hopefully we can turn this into a place where we can all talk about what we are going through.  Please use the comment section below to let me know how you are doing!

As for me, right now I’m sitting at 205.4 lbs and this is about where I’ve been for the last month or so.  My weight kind of goes down to about 198 and up to 205 depending on what I eat and what time of day I weight myself.  I am much less religious about it now that I’ve met my goal.

What I am FAR more interested in now is exercise.  Now that I have a body I can move, I want to move it!  I’m still doing kettlebell swings, in fact I am on week 8 of the Swing Lean videos right now, hopefully I can make it all the way to week 15 without injury this time.  I also bought a jump rope the other day because I have very weak ankles and it looks like this is a way I can toughen those up.  I did exactly 20 jumps 2 days ago and had pain in my calves and hamstrings for all the next day.  I am not in shape!

As for diet, I am sticking to my same ole ketogenic diet with Intermittent fasting when I am work.  Sometimes I’ll get a little nibble of cheese halfway through my shift on the nights after I do kettlebell swings but other than that, I don’t get hungry and stick to the one meal a day on my 5 working days.  It seems to be working well for me as I am weight stable while putting on muscle from the exercise which is exactly what I want.

As for what I am reading, I’ve read several books since my last video and have been totally negligent about posting reviews here but in the last week I have finished The Hacking of the American Mind by Robert Lustig, Back Mechanic by Stuart McGill and I am currently reading Brain Maker by David Perlmutter.  All great books that I will eventually get around to writing about.
