1/20 Weightloss Wednesday: 10 Pounds Down!

Slowly but surely wins the race?  I hope?  Another week has come and gone and  while I’m thankful that the weight is slowly coming off, I sure expected it to come off faster.  I know I’m being impatient and I know I can’t expect to lose 10 pounds a week or anything but I sure would like to see a bit more come off faster.

The good news is that I made it through a difficult week with some family sickness still heading in the right direction.  My week wasn’t as disciplined as it could have been with a sick wife throwing me off my routine a bit but I think I’m back on track.

In other news, I’ve started reading Good Calorie, Bad Calorie by Gary Taubes and it is one of those books that provides a TON of information but doesn’t do a very good job of making it an entertaining read.  If you start this book, be prepared for a bit of a slog but I promise you will find it interesting.  It covers all the reasons why the medical profession was telling us the absolutely wrong way to eat for the last few decades to stay healthy and why we have this obesity epidemic we find ourselves in.  I think I’m going to cover the book more in depth as soon as I finish it but I think at least some of you would find it interesting.

Overall it’s been a good week.  Last night I went to the movies and realized I had really set myself up to fail.  I hadn’t eaten since noon and hadn’t brought anything good to eat so I ended up stuffing my face with a bucket of popcorn.  Not a good move.  But I’m still seeing my weight fall bit by bit so I’m happy with this journey so far.

12/30 Weightloss Wednesday: Beginning Again

We are back and beginning again!  I bit off more than I could chew when I launched this site last year and had to choose between this blog and the one that actually made a little money but I think I’m at the point where I can give this blog the time and attention it needs and deserves.  I also haven’t been near as faithful to my diet as I should have been last year and especially the last few months.  (The Holidays are tough!)  But I am determined to lose this extra weight and get my health back.

Weightloss Wednesday: 30 lbs Down

We are back from the Holiday Hiatus are starting up the Weightloss Wednesday posts again.  I gained a few pounds over the Holidays so I took a few steps backwards but I’m back on track and determined to lose 100 lbs this year.  Please don’t tell me that is unrealistic, I know it us but I’m aiming high.  Just a few pounds a week and I’ll get there.
