This Week in Low Carb News: NuSI is Back and the Mediterranean Diet Isn’t

Every week I come across a bunch of articles I want to tweet about and comment on and every week I run out of time to do it.  This is my attempt to clear out the open tabs on my browser by putting them all in one place.  Enjoy!

The Collapse of a $40 Million Dietary Crusade – I was so hopeful for NuSI when it was announced so I was disappointed when it seemed to implode.  I am glad to see that they at least hav eplans to continue in some way.

6 Month Carnivore Update – I’ve talked before about my admiration for Jordan Peterson.  I think he is one of the best thinkers on the planet and was excited to learn that both him and his daughter are carnivores.  The changes this way of eating have had on them are nothing short of miraculous.

Working Americans Consume More Junk Food at Work – Lunch is a surprisingly common roadblock for people trying to change their diet.  Most people can eat breakfast and dinner at home but lunch is tricky because you are away from your kitchen.

Alzheimer’s Disease: Why Insulin is a New Suspect – Doctors have been calling Alzheimer’s Type 3 Diabetes for years so I’m glad the idea is spreading.

Errors Trigger Retraction Of Study On Mediterranean Diet’s Heart Benefits – Anyone talking about the benefits of the Mediterranean diet is referring to this study and now it’s retracted.

What Evidence can We Trust?

What I learnt …or rather was reminded of at the #ketocon was that fasting is not consuming ANY CALORIES, so it is basically achieved by drinking water (unless u do dry fasting)… so no bulletproof coffees etc… if u want to reap the benefits of fasting, just drink water and add a bit of salt so u dont get dehydrated…no cutting corners y'all! ALSO, if u want to know how to get yourself trained for extended fasting cycles, stay tuned – I'll post a thing or few about it soon.. #under20carbs #keto #ketogenic #carbfree #lowcarb #lowcarbdiet #fitnesspal #dieting #highfatlowcarb #highfatdiet #needmotivation #loseweịght #CF #lchf #ketolifestyle #primal #Atkins #fitness #ketotips #ketoporn #ketosis #crossfit #healthyliving #intermittentfasting #cancerwarrior #cancerawareness #fightcancerwithketo #ketolife #bulletproofdiet
