10/3 Weightloss Wednesday: Balance is Tricky

It’s time for Weightloss Wednesday!  As of this morning I am at 240.4 lbs which means my weight is still creeping up a bit.

I know part of this is because I have been doing some very HARD workouts for the last week to try to get my upper body strength where I can hold myself up for the handstand challenge I said I was going to start on the 1st.  I’ll talk more about that in a minute but what I’ve noticed is that I get HUNGRY after a workout.  I want to eat anything not nailed down and nuts seem to be my go to and I know nuts are very fattening for me.  So that fact that I am probably maintaining the amount of fat I have with increased muscle is making my weight creep up a bit.  I guess I’m going to have to exert a little more control over my cravings while I’m doing this.

As for the Handstand challenge….well it is definitely a challenge.  So here’s day 1.

The good news is that it was MUCH easier just holding my weight up that I thought.  I had visions of my snapping my wrists or something.  I couldn’t kick away from the wall enough to get my feet over my hips, probably because of fear more than anything else. So I decided to be a little bolder on day 2 and this happened.

I was trying to be sure and kick harder away from the wall and at least try to balance and ended up flopping over.  Certainly not the most graceful fall but “despise not the day of small beginnings” I guess.

It is certainly a tough nut to crack but crack it I will…I hope.  If you want to follow along, join me on Instagram.
