2/6 Weightloss Wednesday: A Week of Veggies

It’s time for Weightloss Wednesday! As of this morning I am at 238.0 lbs which means I’ve lost 2 lbs since last week.

This has been an interesting week as I have been done with the Carnivore challenge for about a week now and have been trying to pay attention to any changes now that I’m adding veggies back in. One thing that is absolutely crystal clear is I have a LOT more energy. I had a hard time getting motivated to work out in January and just wanted to sit on the couch and watch TV, so far it looks like that has all changed.

My energy levels were really centered around my exercise as the few times I exercised, it was a STRUGGLE to get off the couch and do anything at all. So far this week I have done 2 heavy weight lifting sets, jumped rope and done 2 lengthy sessions of kettlebell swings with no problem.

Not just the energy to do the exercise but more importantly, the energy to START the exercise. That may seem like the same thing but finding the motivation to get off the couch and do ANYTHING was just alluding me. I have no idea why so many people saw such great success with a carnivore diet and it affected me so poorly but there it is. Very little weight loss, decreased energy, no effect on my BP, none of the positive things I was hoping for but a week back on veggies has me moving more and down 2 pounds.

All of this is good news for 2 reasons. #1 I like veggies. I always have and probably always will. And #2 buying all that steak and hamburger was getting a bit pricey so I’m glad I don’t have to do it anymore.

So that’s it for me, how did you do this week? Let me know in the comments below!
