This Week in Low Carb News: Carnivore Diet Continues to Grow

Every week I come across a bunch of articles I want to tweet about and comment on and every week I run out of time to do it.  This is my attempt to clear out the open tabs on my browser by putting them all in one place.  Enjoy!

The Jordan Peterson All Meat Diet – Although Jordan’s name is in the title, this article is more about his daughter.  I have made no secret of my great love and admiration for Jordan and his daughter so I confess I was a little put off by the author of this article.  It sure sounded like he was belittling a little woman who repaired her damaged health by just eating meat.  Even though, it is a very interesting article.

Low carb diets could shorten life (really?!) – I love Zoe’s work and have no idea why I haven’t reached out to her to be on the podcast.  Here she dismantles the latest study that says people who eat low carb die young.  Everyone repeat after me, “I will not give any weight to a study that comes from a Food Frequency Questionnaire.”  Tom Naughton had some things to say as well.

The Carnivore Diet: Is Going All-Meat Right for You? – Nice little hit piece on the carnivore diet.  Here’s my favorite part. ““The healthiest diets in the world all include plants,” says science journalist Max Lugavere” Remember, there was a day when a diet devoid of meal would have been considered bizarre but then Vegan Propaganda took over.  Now the tables have turned and people stuck in the old way of thinking are kicking and screaming.

The Superfood Your Dietitian Probably Won’t Tell You to Eat – Great discussion about what makes a superfood.  A superfood is a plant based food marginally higher in nutrients that can be readily found in meat.
