2/16 Weightloss Wednesday: My Insulin Resistance Has Diminished!
It’s time for Weightloss Wednesday! I know it’s actually Thursday but life has been crazy lately and I seem to be a day late and a dollar short on everything. Such is life I guess. As of this morning I am at 217.8 lbs which means I am 182.2 lbs down from my heaviest and about a pound lighter than last week.
I am getting to the point where when I lie down my belly actually feels flat and lays lower than my rib cage which has never really been the case before. It’s weird to be able to see bones in my chest and to actually have a neck.
I decided to test something a little earlier this week and ate a hamburger complete with the bun just to see what would happen. In the past, this would totally wreck my entire week and I’d gain about 5 lbs but this time? Not so much. I had a little spike the next day but I was right back to losing weight 2 days later and ended up a pound down for the week. What does this mean? Well I think the main thing I can take from this is that my Insulin Resistance seems to have diminished somewhat. I am by no means going to add a bunch of carbs back in my diet but it is nice to know that a single piece of bread no longer dooms me to a week of having to totally reset my ketosis and struggle just to get back to zero.
So all in all, a great week and I’m pretty happy with what I’m seeing right now.
